Frequently Asked Questions

  • Getting started is simple. Book a brief discovery call or send a message through the contact form. We’ll clarify your goals, current setup, and timelines, then recommend the right next step—typically a Program Audit, a Planning Session, or a proposal for a retainer engagement.

  • TAC-PSYCH is built around operational reality, by first responders, for first responders. We don’t sell “wellness theater”—we build systems that hold up under pressure: clear protocols, trained peer teams, defined boundaries, leadership alignment, and simple pathways to care. We also measure outcomes so leadership can see what’s working and adjust over time.

  • You can reach us through the website contact form or by booking a call directly. If you’re an organization requesting a proposal or vendor packet, include your agency name, point of contact, and what services you’re exploring (peer support, EAP utilization, evaluation, training).

    • One-time setup/build (when launching or rebuilding a program)

    • Monthly retainer (ongoing supervision/QA, EAP optimization, wellness coordination, and outcomes reporting)

    • Training and workshops (fixed-fee or per-seat depending on format)

    • Hourly consulting for specific planning or leadership needs
Pricing depends on organization size, scope, and delivery format (virtual vs on-site). We’re happy to provide a quote after a short discovery call.

  • Structured, practical, and low-drama. We start by clarifying what you already have, what’s missing, and what “success” looks like. Then we build a clear plan, deliver the training/protocols, and stay involved through ongoing supervision and metrics so the system doesn’t fade after launch. You’ll always know what’s happening, what’s next, and what you’re getting each month.

  • We primarily serve first-responder organizations—fire/EMS, law enforcement, dispatch, corrections, hospital public safety, and other high-stress service teams. We also support municipalities and agencies that want a cohesive, accountable wellness system.

  • TAC-PSYCH is designed for organizational consulting, training, and program support. If you’re an individual looking for treatment, we can share general resource guidance, but we are not an emergency service and we do not provide crisis response through this website.

  • No. TAC-PSYCH provides organizational consulting, training, supervision/QA for peer support teams, program evaluation, and wellness coordination. We help agencies build pathways to care; we are not functioning as your clinical provider.

  • No. If there is an immediate safety concern, call 911. If you or someone else is in crisis, call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

  • Yes. We can guide the full build-out: program design, selection criteria, policies and boundaries, training, referral pathways, and leadership alignment—then provide ongoing supervision and quarterly evaluation to keep it healthy.

  • Absolutely. Many teams exist “on paper” but struggle with utilization, boundaries, or sustainability. We’ll assess the current system, identify gaps and risk areas, and help tighten protocols, training, and communication so it works consistently.

  • Yes. Many organizations pay for an EAP but struggle with awareness and trust. We help optimize implementation, manager referral processes, warm handoffs, and communication—then track utilization trends and barriers over time.

  • We create simple, leadership-ready metrics—typically utilization, training completion, satisfaction, referral follow-through, and program activity—using minimal data and prioritizing de-identified reporting whenever possible. The goal is accountability without turning peer support into paperwork.

  • Peer support depends on trust. We help agencies set clear confidentiality expectations, documentation boundaries, and escalation pathways (including when safety concerns require action). Program reporting is usually de-identified and trend-based.

  • Yes. We offer both virtual and on-site services depending on location and scope. Travel and on-site delivery are quoted clearly in advance.

  • Yes. For agencies that want internal capacity, we can develop internal trainers and provide an annual recertification/refresh plan with ongoing support.

  • Yes. We routinely coordinate with HR, benefits, EAP vendors, chaplains, clinicians, and other wellness partners to streamline pathways and reduce duplication.

  • Yes. We can provide a vendor packet (W-9, insurance certificates, scope options, and a capability statement) upon request.

  • A first-pass program audit or planning session can happen quickly. Full peer support build-outs are typically completed over several weeks, followed by ongoing monthly supervision and quarterly evaluation. We’ll recommend a timeline after the discovery call.

  • A point of contact, a sense of your goals, and any existing documents you have (policies, peer support description, training history, EAP info). If you have nothing formal yet, that’s fine—we can start from scratch.
